Oasis Mental Health provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to clarify diagnoses or assist in treatment or educational plans for:
School Aged Children, College Students, and Adults to differentiate a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder), Learning Disability, and/or Asperger’s Disorder.
High School, College Aged Students, and Adults to assess head injury and/or concussion and to make return-to-play recommendations.
(Older) Adults to diagnose Dementia and to differentiate the type of dementia (for example, Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular Dementia, Dementia due to a medical condition, etc.).
Our neuropsychological reports are written at the level of the client and give many client-specific recommendations. In addition, we devote much time to educating our clients and to discussing what to do next. We typically work in close collaboration with referring schools, physicians, treatment facilities, or other (mental health) providers.
Most of our evaluations can be completed in under four hours, so that clients are not exposed to lengthy and frequent visits, and cost can be limited. Many insurance companies cover neuropsychological evaluations, although it is always a good idea to check individual benefits.
All the Learning Disorder and ADD / ADHD evaluations meet NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) guidelines for diagnosis and special services at the college level.
